Founding and Managing Partner

Rebecca Nakiranda is the Founding and Managing Partner of Nakiranda & Co. Advocates and a distinguished Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with over 16 years of legal practice, having commenced her career in 2011. She is widely recognized for providing strategic legal solutions that combine sound legal judgment with commercial insight, enabling clients to effectively manage legal risks while achieving their business and investment objectives.

Rebecca is an enrolled Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate courts. She is also a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.

Her practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, insurance law, commercial and corporate advisory, property and real estate law, business and investment advisory, labour and employment law, and succession and estate planning. She has successfully advised and represented corporations, insurers, financial institutions, investors, SMEs, and individual clients in complex legal and commercial matters.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Makerere University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, a Postgraduate Diploma in Insurance from the Insurance Training College of Uganda, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Risk and Investment from Uganda Management Institute (UMI). Her multidisciplinary academic background enables her to deliver practical legal solutions informed by business strategy, investment principles, and risk management.
She is also a graduate of the Foreign Policy Executive Programme at the American Center Kampala, where she received executive training in diplomacy and foreign policy. This exposure has strengthened her understanding of international relations, diplomacy, and cross-border legal and investment issues, particularly in advising foreign investors and members of the Ugandan diaspora.

Rebecca is a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East Africa Law Society, and the Insurance Training College of Uganda. Beyond legal practice, she serves as a Board Member of Christ the King Girls Secondary School, Matugga, reflecting her commitment to education, leadership, and community development.
